This nationwide contract—valued at up to $516 million and extending through October 31, 2040—empowers the FAA to modernize hundreds of mission-critical environments with the durable, ergonomic, Made-in-the-USA technology infrastructure required for the next generation of air traffic management.

A Critical Investment in America’s Airspace
In remarks about the need for BNATCS, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy underscored the urgency of modernization:
“Decades of neglect have left us with an outdated system that is showing its age. Building this new system is an economic and national security necessity, and the time to fix it is now.”
With 527 Air Traffic Control Towers (ATCT), 146 TRACON facilities, and 21 ARTCC centers operating the National Airspace System (NAS), the FAA must maintain continuity while updating infrastructure that supports 3 million daily passengers.
Slatwall Consoles play a pivotal role in this effort. They serve as a flexible, technology-forward foundation that allows FAA teams to integrate new systems seamlessly—reducing downtime and creating a predictable upgrade path well into the future.
