At Russ Bassett, we are celebrating National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the telecommunicators in our communities who dedicate their time each and every day to keep us safe.
Telecommunicators do challenging, sometimes thankless work that makes an enormous impact on people’s lives. Often with very little information, they assess emergency situations and figure out what’s needed to tackle the job at hand. They act as calm voices to help people in panic. They multitask to coordinate responses. They map incident locations and find other supplemental information within seconds of learning about a situation to help other public safety professionals get to the scene as quickly and with as much information as possible.
Thank you for all the work you do, public safety telecommunicators! You are heroes, and we appreciate your care and commitment to service.
